“Visible Music” Soliall Philharmonic from Korea, US tour this week

Disabled and non-disabled together!, “Music to be seen, picture to be heard”

Wheelchair conductor Dr. In-Hong Cha is conducting a large number of professional musicians with disabilities.

6th(Sun) 6 p.m., Gas South Theater in Duluth / 5th(Sat) Davis Theater in Montgomery

A stage will be prepared in which orchestra performances and images of disabled and non-disabled music harmonize together this weekend in Montgomary, AL and Duluth, GA.

Korea’s Soliall Philharmonic Orchestra (Director Shin Jong-ho), which celebrated its 15th anniversary this year, under the theme of “Visual Music, Hearing Pictures” (Visual Music, Musical Art), will be held at 5 pm on the 6th (Sunday), Duluth. It will be held at the Gas South Theatre.

This concert is hosted by the Soliall Philharmonic Orchestra, Special Arts, and Artists Classic, sponsored by the Korean Cultural Arts Center for the Disabled, Fruit of Love (Hyundai Motor Company), and Big Sky. The stage was set up and became a hot topic.

Under the baton of Director Shin Jong-ho and Dr. In-Hong Cha of Wright State University of the United States, it is performing by 50 players and with wonderful soloists: a professor Sang-Jae Lee, well-known as a blind clarinetist, a professor Cho Kyung-Hwa of soprano, a professor Won-Yong Cho of bass, Ji-Seon Kim of violin, Min-Ju Kim of violin, Min-Ju Kim of piano, Eun-Young Son of piano, I-Jung Kim of piano, Lee Min-young of saxophone.

At the lobby of the concert hall, about 20 art works of artists with disabilities are on exbihit and for sale. All proceeds from the sale will be used for cultural arts support activities for the disabled.

The Montgomery concert will be held at the Davis Theater at 6 pm on the 5th, and admission is $20. (see poster)

The Atlanta performance will be held at the Duluth Gas South Theater at 5 p.m. on the 6th, and admission is $20. It can be purchased on- site or online ( link ).
