The USMNT and Wales played to an entertaining 1-1 draw in both teams’ respective first games of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Christian Pulisic and Tim Weah connected on a beautiful sequence in the 36th minute to grab a 1-0 lead over Wales. Weah became the first player to score against Wales in the World Cup since Pele did so in the 1958 Quarterfinals.
